Unable to move App to SD Card

I have Xperia J and have updated to Andriod 4.1.2 and Build Number 11.2.A.0.21

I have downloaded an APP but unable to move the APP to my SD card. The option is only giving to move the APP to Phone or Internal Storage.

Although my SD card is accessible and working

Secondly how to set pictures/videos default location to SD Card

The ability to move the apps to the SD card is not something which would be supported on the phone. You would only be able to move these to the Internal storage, where the application supports being moved from the phone memory. The external memory would be mainly used for media such as music, video and pictures. I will pass your feedback on however.

i have sony xperia j.. and then i can't move apps from my internal 2gb memory to external sd card... which is very irritating as the internal 2gb memory goes full.. then i can't download anymore apps on my phone... !!!  do i need to root my phone? (but i don't want to)   Help needed...!!!

Hello Samuel,

it's necessary to store files on external SD Cards, not only photos, videos and audio files, for example PDF too.

But most apps don't offer the possibitily to store data there. I don't know why.

Perhaps the support for external storage is better on other phone models (of Sony)?

Sony must undo this memory split thing because every customer discover this thing considers it a bug.

solution is simple is install astro cloud app from android market. and then simply move whatever application and paste on ext. sd card. so simple.

After installing new card in my Xperia J and updating the mobile to latest 11.2.A.0.33, I am unable to move any app residing in Internal Memory to SD Card. It happened suddenly, firstly i thought its due to SD Card fault but now i have also purchased a new SD card but still its not working

any help would be appreciated

I have Sony Xperia J ,my memory is full and I bought SD external card so I can transfer my app, but when I bought and putt my SD card I found out that I can`t transfer anything because I don`t have that options. I`m very disappointment from this phone specially from Sony for not having this options least you you can tell to the people that this phone does not have this options so they can save time and money not trying to transfer the apps to the SD card want to know are you planning to solve the problem or not?

I am sorry for the inconvenience you have had regarding this function, Unfortunately as stated there is no function to perform this task on our later devices within internal storage.

I am unable to confirm when or if this function will be available in the future.
