Hi ok about 1 week ago my phones earspeaker just didn't work so I have to plug headphones in to hear people when they call Mic works fine but then a bit after I went to listen to music and it was on full volume no sound then again I plugged in headphones and it worked. The next day I went to see my friend and he had the identical problem with his speakers on his Xperia t so I thought it was something at Sony's end but when I run the diagnostics app and I click test ear speaker it says did I hear sound no but when I do loudspeaker it says did I hear sound YES! So the speaker can't be broken because I hear the beep when I turn up ringer volume aswell (all this happend to my friend aswell) please help thank you.
Hi so is ur problem resolved ?? cause im facing the same problem as u now.. If it is can u please tell me how to fix it ??
Following the advice to "clean the headphone socket with a safety pin..." I used a small screwdriver. Just wiggled it about in the input and BOOM my sound returned. Nothing seemed to be clogging it up, couldn't find any setting to change from "headphone" mode...this seems pretty stupid really.
Glad to have a simple fix, but I'm regretting being tied into the contract I have for this phone now due to this and a bunch of other small issues. Especially for the fact Sony staff just concern themselves with software updates rather than this simple solution as suggested by a user. Oh well, we all make mistakes - by this I mean the contract I chose, nothing else. No phone I've ever had has ever had this problem before, so much for "new, improved" technology.
Issue resolved in very simple Way !- Just plug the earphone, play some music in music player and unplug the earphone and play the music, For sure it will play in Loud speaker. Then ultimately your earspeaker issue will also resolve by doing this.
IT WORKS FOR ME.... ENJYYYY !
i think this problem is due to stuff building up inside the headphone jack, i tried plugging and unplugging headphones with success and after ready another poster's comment about hiim cleaning the headphone jck, i tried it, i used a safety pin and cleaned out everything i could find, and i found alot lol, the plugging and unplugging of the headphones it would appear disrupts whatever stuuf is inside the jack so i guess that is probably why it was working for some people
