Sony Xperia SP destroyed after 4.3 update - a desperate user final thoughts.

I have bought XPERIA SP at DECEMBER... almost perfect phone with Jellybean 4.1.2 .... everything was going extremely fast and smooth, after the UPDATE to Android 4.3 my phone is completely USELESS... literally nothing is working without LAG , LAG , LAAAAGGGG !

The leds dont work , the call button works after a lot seconds... , walkman turns off by itself , the ram is depleted only 100mb free , the phone generally lags anytime in anyway! , about the half of default applications come up with the "Its not responding (Wait , Close , Report) " error

This is the last time i give my money and trust in SONY . This is the biggest failure purchase i have ever done... 299 euros at the garbage...

PS. Oh some info --> Called sony and we made REPAIR by Companion , NOTHING! , Called sony again we did Fresh re-install via SUS ... NOTHING .... went to SONY SERVICE and after 3 days they gave me the same phone with the SAME BUGGY software with the same EXACT problems... because its not ANDROID's fault BUT ROM's fault .

All the problems here are with new clean updated phone via SUS and factory reset after that so nothing can go wrong,,, but NOTHING .

And still nothing like a rollback to 4.1 to repair our devices or a new software update that resolves these issues after 2 months of silence from SONY. I know because i am a programmer that takes a lot of hours to debug and make new update from scratch but its not my concern i demand my phones integrity to be as like it was at the beginning.

I cant do something else , i'm just feeling unlucky and sad because i lost a lot of money . (i'm trying to remember the 2 months of the phone's brilliant usage with android 4.1.2 )

I initially downgrades to 4.1 but couldn't live with the poor wi-fi so used the Generic Swiss ftf for 1.201 even though I'm in the UK. it "turned the 'phone around" so much so that I've bought another X-SP for my wife (they are really cheap here because of the bad name the upgrade gave them). Fantastic value if you can install the bug-fix.

My issue is i am also on 4.1.2  which came with the phone, although its not perfect but i am happy with how the phone performs but i need 4G enabled as i am with Three Uk and want to use 4G, so if only there was a way to enable 4G on 4.1.2 i would happily continue to use 4.1.2

Anyone know how to as i dont really want to upgrade?

I have seen on some post that some have got 4G working on Three by changing the APN setting but they never posed the new APN setting.

Not on Three. I'm still using my old Vodafone PAYG sim until it's exhausted. The X-SP which I bought for my wife and flashed to .201 is using her old Orange sim (cut down to micro size). Being Orange it is on EE network and mobile data works but I guess on 3G only.

Thanks blackbox, but i had already seen that and it matches my current settings (for 3G), what i was referring to is a so called new APN setting, i.e. a new "LTE APN setting' for Three 4G users

Thanx Dave, was hoping you were on three, cause i would have then had the confidence to do what you did on on your phone on my phone, unfortunately Three seems in its 4G implementation decided to be different from the other networks as 4G does not show up on my phone when i have a Three sim inserted, but if the phone has no sim and on EE i get the option for 4G in the setting.

Correction guys:

the so called new APN setting, i.e. a new "LTE APN setting i was referring to is not for Three uk, its for a Croatian network, sorry my bad

So......my phone was fixed after the catastrophic update earlier his year. It was running mostly well until very recently. 9 times out of 10 I can't answer a call, turn my alarm off, or access my text messages. The 3 most basic functions that phones 20 years ago could manage. The lag is worse than ever and even trying to access the phone is with the side button has become extremely frustrating. Is it just my phone having these problems?

If anyone who has done can leave his/her number. i would be very thankful to him/her or give me a call on below number. i am facing alot of problem with my xperia sp.
