Sony Xperia SP destroyed after 4.3 update - a desperate user final thoughts.

I have bought XPERIA SP at DECEMBER... almost perfect phone with Jellybean 4.1.2 .... everything was going extremely fast and smooth, after the UPDATE to Android 4.3 my phone is completely USELESS... literally nothing is working without LAG , LAG , LAAAAGGGG !

The leds dont work , the call button works after a lot seconds... , walkman turns off by itself , the ram is depleted only 100mb free , the phone generally lags anytime in anyway! , about the half of default applications come up with the "Its not responding (Wait , Close , Report) " error

This is the last time i give my money and trust in SONY . This is the biggest failure purchase i have ever done... 299 euros at the garbage...

PS. Oh some info --> Called sony and we made REPAIR by Companion , NOTHING! , Called sony again we did Fresh re-install via SUS ... NOTHING .... went to SONY SERVICE and after 3 days they gave me the same phone with the SAME BUGGY software with the same EXACT problems... because its not ANDROID's fault BUT ROM's fault .

All the problems here are with new clean updated phone via SUS and factory reset after that so nothing can go wrong,,, but NOTHING .

And still nothing like a rollback to 4.1 to repair our devices or a new software update that resolves these issues after 2 months of silence from SONY. I know because i am a programmer that takes a lot of hours to debug and make new update from scratch but its not my concern i demand my phones integrity to be as like it was at the beginning.

I cant do something else , i'm just feeling unlucky and sad because i lost a lot of money . (i'm trying to remember the 2 months of the phone's brilliant usage with android 4.1.2 )

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658952 ... for flashing back to 4.1.2 because people like me and people who dont know if it is safe to downgrade will keep cry about lags etc... if u sticky this i think spam about 4.3 problems on forum will be reduced 4.1.2 is bug free instad 4.3 is mind blowing and it was pushing me to throw my phone to the wall

The main motive for upgrading Xperia SP to 4.3 was the solution for the wifi problem. If it worked properly I would probably never upgrade to 4.3. So, 4.1.2 was not totally bug free in my case.

I agree, this update is soo bad...phone was impecable on 4.1.2, really snappy always sharp and responsive, in 4.3, total lags, screen unresponsive...that in the first day after PCC update, I'm CE user, full stock. Battery seems a tad better, but overhall performance went downhill.

I have the same problem...when i upgraded my phone on 4.3 jb it hangs frequently, too much lagging and applications not operating smoothly & overheating too...i submitted my phone 3 times to service centre...but no use...they only repaired software...but still same problem is persisting....very much disappointed by the service....!!

Thank you so much for clearing out which way we can downgrade to 4.1.2 without void warranty , i will try the guide as a last hope to resurect my phone . I will post feedback for results.

i cannot find Singapore Version of Generic 4.1.2 - 12.0.A.2.254 or my Telco - Singtel Version of 4.1.2 - 12.0.A.2.254? i msg Sony Mobile Singapore thru Facebook but no respond. Where can i get SG version of android 4.1.2 12.0.A.2.254? i google it nowhere to be found only can get Telco M1 Version of 4.1.2 12.0.A.2.254. Anyone can help? i really love this phone which i don't believe is hardware issue. Sony don't fix at least give proper solution/instruction to downgrade...

Games and apps run slower than at 4.1.2. In GTA VC at max settings is very laggy in 4.3. In 4.1.2 run smooth and without lags. 4.1.2 is better 🙂
