I have bought XPERIA SP at DECEMBER... almost perfect phone with Jellybean 4.1.2 .... everything was going extremely fast and smooth, after the UPDATE to Android 4.3 my phone is completely USELESS... literally nothing is working without LAG , LAG , LAAAAGGGG !
The leds dont work , the call button works after a lot seconds... , walkman turns off by itself , the ram is depleted only 100mb free , the phone generally lags anytime in anyway! , about the half of default applications come up with the "Its not responding (Wait , Close , Report) " error
This is the last time i give my money and trust in SONY . This is the biggest failure purchase i have ever done... 299 euros at the garbage...
PS. Oh some info --> Called sony and we made REPAIR by Companion , NOTHING! , Called sony again we did Fresh re-install via SUS ... NOTHING .... went to SONY SERVICE and after 3 days they gave me the same phone with the SAME BUGGY software with the same EXACT problems... because its not ANDROID's fault BUT ROM's fault .
All the problems here are with new clean updated phone via SUS and factory reset after that so nothing can go wrong,,, but NOTHING .
And still nothing like a rollback to 4.1 to repair our devices or a new software update that resolves these issues after 2 months of silence from SONY. I know because i am a programmer that takes a lot of hours to debug and make new update from scratch but its not my concern i demand my phones integrity to be as like it was at the beginning.
I cant do something else , i'm just feeling unlucky and sad because i lost a lot of money . (i'm trying to remember the 2 months of the phone's brilliant usage with android 4.1.2 )

Actually it mentions if the first sentence, that flashing or rooting will void your warranty
Rooting will void but downgrading might void,as I told you before with the carriers.
But for downgrading i have to root, dont I?
No,what am I trying to tell you all this time?

I don't blame the guy for getting confused - it's all a bit of a grey area. If you unlock the bootloader in order to use the official flashtool Sony say you "may" void their warranty.
Rooting doesn't have to void Sony's warranty as it's reversible. Unlocking the bootloader is less so - you can relock but you can't go back to the original "never unlocked" state without taking a backup of the TA partition.
If you're on a contract or have some sort of insurance, then read the smallprint. I'm on a contract and I flashed my phone with an official ROM - I have no idea where this leaves me should I ever need to return the phone to the network for replacement.
Im really sorry for acting like a mentally damaged, but its just doesnt clear for me! I downloaded flashtool and the C5303 12.0.A.2.254 Generic UK FTF file, in order to downgrade. I just need a clear guide which talks about the actual downgrading without voiding warranty, not the one that the moderator told me, there are too much information.
this is nice guide.. and i think u have to do a sticky post about downgrading and add this post... cause im sure many people want to downgrade but they dont know how or they are not sure if they have to do it.. i hope and im almost sure that sony will do good job with new update and problems will fixed.. till then i will use 4.1.2 (and i suggest everyone to use it) and im very happy with my sp again ❤️ (instead with 4.3 was make me mad every day of use) btw warranty will not void with this method.. if someone unlock bootloader then warranty may be void cause with unlocked bootloader ppl can overclok their devices with custom kernels and dmg their phone..
Which guide is that good?
