my xperia sola battery lasts for only 18hrs with minimum or no use.i have noticed in battery usage info that android os drains around 30-50% battery.and after doing some research on xda i came to know that this is a software issue which was also present in xperia s.is there going to be a firmware update for the xperia sola to reslove this issue?.

My maximum battery life on Sola is DAYS. I haven't measured the exact number of days, but it is, at least, 5 days.
This is the maximum in the right conditions: the phone is on (standby), good cell signal, no wifi, no BT, the screen is off.
To achieve this result I turned off animated background and disabled apps like facebook, twitter, whatsup etc.
Of course, when I am using the phone, and the screen is on, the battery is drained much faster, but still, I get a reasonable number of hours.

Hi Guys, I Bought My Sola on June or July. At First Battery Hour Was Only 18 Hours or 19-20 Maximum. No WiFi, No Bluetooth, No Cosmic Flow (Animated Background), No Brightness, etc. My Friend Said That It Was Normal on Sony Phones and the Battery Would Be Drain Slower After A Few Weeks. So I Waited For Two Weeks With The Same Setting Above But Nothing Changed. I Got Only 24-28 Hours By Taking the Phone to Plane Mode (No Antenna) at Midnights. When I Took Plane Mode at Midnight It Was Draining Only 1-3% Then I Decided to Test It Without Sim Card. Voila! It Went 8 Days Be Careful 8 DAYS Without Charging I Know Someone May Say Without Sim Card Phone Is Nothing But It Was Just A Test. Even With Full Brightness, WiFi On, Bluetooth On, No Plain Mode, Animated Background, Facebook, Twitter etc. It Lasted For 8 DAYS. So I Understood That These Settinngs Was Not So Effective On The Battery Consumption So Much. When I Plug the Simcard Again It Was 1 Day Long. Then Again My Other Friend (Has A Xperia GO With the Same Problem) Said If We Turn The 3G Off And 2G On The Battery Would Last Longer. I Tried It. Again Voila! Now It Lasted 2 Days, 14 Hours, 10 M... And Still Have 7% of Battery. I Played Not Much With Phone, Some Talkings, Some WiFi, Some Mobile Connection, etc. If You Prefer Not 3G Go To Settings, Last Option of WiFi And Networks (Other Option), Mobile Network, Network Mode, Select Only GSM Then It Will Go Longer. Only WCDMA or WDCMA (preferred)/GSM Modes Are Draining Battery Fast. If It Is Not Problem For You Try This And Extend Your Battery Life. Greetings From Turkey.
P.S.: I Am Using Turkish On My Phone, So Menu Names May Be Converted Wrong But I Think You Understand What I Said.

My Xperia Sola has no battery problem which was my brithday present send from a Japanese friend. In the box has 4x NFC tags, 1x car charger, etc. I get approx. 16 hours capacity when fully charged. My basic Xperia Sola network was set to NFC (ON) because I use it as payphone all the time, and Auto-Sync enabled.
Calls is about 3 hours.
Data is about 3 hours.
Music is about 9 hours.
Video is about 2 hours.
Standby is about 140 hours.
hi guys, I bought to my father Xperia sola on january 2013, usually he charge his phone until full during night and turn off the phone till morning. 2 days ago, he told me that the battery became 50% after the phone turned on. I find out that is not logical, why a fully charged phone can drop to 50% after turned it on?
He only use the phone for call & message, never turn on the wifi, bluetooth, data traffic, location services, or account sync. Never install any apps from Google Play.
So I just do the factory reset and update the firmware. but it seems like that didn't solve the problem at all.
Firmware = 6.1.1.B.1.54
Android Version = 4.0.4
Need your help guys, thanks. and sorry for my bad english.
just keep an eye on the ram usage.
Install clean master
i think the problem is the random usage of resources like ram , cpu etc.so see how much ram actually you have free.it should atleast 120-150.(normal).if it is less then then minimize the background processes to 2 or 3. you can do it from developers option.
Ok, so I updated and all was fine. But now my Sola is just over a year old and battery time (without changing things) went down the drain. Major problem: non exchangeable battery.
So don't give me that sh** about free float, turning Wifi of, not updating Gmail every 5 minutes,...: been there, done that a long time ago. I have a fixed darker bnackground (saving backlight), Wifi + gps + BT turned of (yeah, that's a comfort for a smartphone, not) and all those other things that matter. When I use the camera to take a pic of something I see in a store, I kill the camera app after use (if it stays active it might the battery apparently). Nowadays I made it a habbit swiping running processes of the screen to minimize battery drain. And yet... calling for 5 minutes max a day and sending a few text messages, I can't even make it through the day.
So... what will Sony do about it? Enclosed batteries have a 2 year warranty in the EU (Belgium). Then again... it still works. I like my Sony stereo, SA-NS300, PS3 and other Sony stuff. Dell laptop might shortly be replaced by a Vaio Pro and I'm in doubt on switching from my Canon 5DII to a Sony camera... but maybe it's better to see what customer service is all about at Sony. Because this Xperia Sola is not ok, not ok at all.
У меня проблема с аккумулятором и сеть то ловит ,то не ловит это всё произошло после обновления ПО неделю назад !Помогите что делать ???
