My Xperia S has a booting problem

Hello,

I've recently updated my Xperia S to ICS and it worked fine for sometime; and now i've faced a terrible problem.

once, it crashed and i tried restarting it, after restart, Sony logo appeares and phone restarts again and again, till it's out of charge.

any Ideas or clues?
thanks.

let us know when you try a new MICRO sim card or when you contact Sony or when you take it to Sony repair center. good luck

hey omirus. we guys are having something in common and discussing it. as far as we don't have Micro Sims in Afghanistan, i won't be able to try it. you, however, can try a Micro Sim if possible.

Besides, Micro Sim and Normal Sim may not be the same. because there are lot of things that we don't knw about a lot of things, so we got to search them out to find out about them.

what you say is equal to if you have a large cover for your phone, you cut it by ur self, rather than buying the perfect cover for your phone.

we are all here to find the solution for this problem, not sticking to what ourselves say...

i apprecieate your posts, though.

I've had the technical support come over to my home to see what problem I have with my phone.  They brought along a new Xperia S and loaded with a sim card of their own from the same carrier..

Whats weird is that its restarting with 1 carrier sim card.. we've loaded and tested 2 other carriers but it is not restarting.. Slightly_frowning_Face

does this mean that Xperia S is not compatible to all carrier? this is hilarioius..

@blacksb5 my current carrier currently does not provide a micro sim (or sims that have pre-cut edges that you can fold and discard to have it as micro sim).

but there are stores that can cut the regular sim card to "micro sim" size using some sort of a "puncher" like device if you would want to call it that way.. i find no issues on that as it works well on most other phones that require micro sim to operate..

guys, all of these is just a software issue. Update your phone with the latest firmware.

What firmware version do you have? I'm currently running 6.1.A.2.45 and the random reboot is gone.
