My Xperia S has a booting problem

Hello,

I've recently updated my Xperia S to ICS and it worked fine for sometime; and now i've faced a terrible problem.

once, it crashed and i tried restarting it, after restart, Sony logo appeares and phone restarts again and again, till it's out of charge.

any Ideas or clues?
thanks.

yes it DOES matter, if you cut the micro cut it MIGHT fit and it might work but if it wasn't cut properly or if it's slightly off then the reboots will occur, trust me it has happened to me and you can search the forum, it has happened to other users.

the coverage area around your house might not be great and w/ a trimmed SIM card it could be a nightmare.

post a pic that has MICRO sim at the right size.. and I will send you a mine.. and try to explain why it was working for 2 months with a CUT SIM..

and if you could also offer a feasible explanation why its not rebooting oustide my home area.. that will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

this is ridiculous, you can google the pictures, if you want us to help you, you have to try our suggestions, you haven't tried a micro SIM card, so the SIM card could still be the issue.

precisely because maybe you are not on mico SIM Xperia phone Slightly_smiling_Face its happening all over Xperia phones, if you happen to lurk on these threads/forum..  why would SONY Support post a sticky on restart issue if its not a problem.. work on an Xperia phone that is NOT ROOTED..

I read quite a bit of threads and posts, just like nabel told you, for the most part the issue is the SIM card. I'd had regular Sim cards which I'd trimmed and I got similar issues, but I have a micro SIM card for my Xperia S, the SIM cards are free from my network.

Like I have posted, my old CUT SIM worked for 2 months.. SIM cards are but one of the most resilient items there is in a mobile phone... I had a SIM card that worked for me 10 years until I lost my phone..

so why is it not working now? and why is a new CUT SIM card having the same rebooting issue?

why are you so reluctant of using a MICRO sim card?

me reluctant? as if Xperia S accomodates a NORMAL SIZED SIM CARD.. its a MICRO SIM by the way..

a NORMAL sim and a MICRO SIM only differs in SIZE.. unless you say its different in the way its formatted! so please, give us all a more helpful link other than what you THINK you know.. Slightly_smiling_Face
