My earbuds MH-750 isn't functioning....

One side of my earplug (shorter one) isn't working. This had happened few times before, but strangely when I rebooted phone, it would work again... But not this time. I'm confused whether it's hardware problem or software....
If hardware, will Sony Service center fix it? Coz it's hardly a year old earplugs.

And btw nice forum platform...

It is hard to believe it is software problem. It happened with an od k850i,it was all hardware, one of the wires was almost broken. The sound did come sometimes when the wires made good contact. You should get yourself another pair of earplugs.

I use my device for music a lot - I usually get about 6 months use from one of the wired headsets. The constant moving around always breaks the connections eventually.

Best way to test is to try another pair of headphones to see if they have the same problem. Also try your current headset and try moving the wires around to see if you can cause/fix the problem.

I must have gone through 10+ pairs of earbuds for my last device but I didn't see it as a major issue as you can get another set off eBay pretty cheap - just make sure they are original Sony as the cheap copies on there are awful.

If that's the condition of everybody's earplugs, then the matter should be taken Sony's Quality Control department. As per Sony's website a new pair of earplugs costs Rs.1700... That much amount for every 6-7 months would be exploiting.

For an original piece of equipment,it is ok.But you can go to sony store or service and ask them about the earplugs. Are you still in warranty?

Nope, it seems they only cover in box items for 6 months only. Mine is over a year.
