Xperia X10 Mini - SIM issues

Hi, i'm facing some trouble with my SIM card. It started about a month ago and I still can't find a solution for it.

I just simply can't get any signal from any carrier with some consistency, I can make and receive calls about 1 hour a day. I tried to put my SIM on another phone and it worked fine, the signal didn't drop any time.

Tried messing with Network Options but no success, I always get "Your SIM card does not allow a  connection to this network".

Please help me dealing with this issue!

Thanks in advance.

ps: my phone is unlocked to all mobile carriers

Ok, before we look at having it sent in for repair it would be worth trying an update/repair:

1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

and install it on your PC.

2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.

Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.

3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.

4. Phone Software Update.

5. Start.

6. Repair Phone

7. Continue

8. Accept data removal

9. Next

10. Wait for prepare

11. Select Phone

12. Follow the connection steps

Do you have another SIM you can try in your phone?

Thanks for the reply!

Tried other 3 SIM cards, no success. Any idea of what's happening?

That is strange, I take it you are in an area where you would normally have good reception?

I have the same problem with my phone, I did al the above steps. But i dont have an option of repair in the sony companion. I went into phone update, clicked on the link for repair, it started updating again and completed. Stills says no sim card in phone. Face_with_rolling_Eyes NO idea how to work this out. Seriously feel tired of spendin a lot of time for this phone, buying battery, everything with this is a problem. I was  abig fan of sony - the brand. But i dont ever think i will choose another sony phone ever. Please help me regardin how to work my phone and make it accept my sim card. In other phones my sim works fine.
