Experia T Re-booting after upgrade

Hi,

My Experia T keeps re-starting after the last big update last week. Did not do this before update.

Have tried re-updating and using repair program in  PC companion with no joy.

Is there anything I can do to avoid sending this phone back again...

Since posting above have found other threads about this posted 2 weeks ago -describing same problem, but did not see any resolution other than send back to Sony... Is that what everyone with an Experia T has to do after this upgrade?

Help...?

If you dont believe me follow the guides on here or XDA to downgrade to 4.1 which will show you the issue is not software related as it will persist on that.

Hi guys,

Since I updated my Xperia T (LT30p) to the new Android version (4.3 - Compilation: 9.2.A.1.199) i cannot use mobile data network. It works fine on plane mode, but if I turn on the network services , the phone crashes and it reboots. It's really annoying. Is there any option to reinstall previous version? I tried it over Sony PC Companion. Indeed, I reinstalled 2 times this new version, deleting all my data and my apps, but the problem persists.

Please, It's impossible to work with it. Seriously, i cannot even recieve email on my workday.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Looking at other threads on this site seems this Sony software fault on the Eperia T is pretty widespread.

Have been advised by Sony Care to return phone for Sony repair -but am reluctant here as the sim has to be removed for sending it back and looking at the other threads removing the sim often makes the problem go away temporily.

Also I dont what to lose my phone for 10+ days (judging on the last time) just to have it returned with a factory re-boot which temporily cures the problem (as happened last time) which anyone can do using PC Companion.

Does anyone know of any site with any information as to when Sony are going to a) acknowledge this fault b) issue a download resolving the problem they have created? Or does the silence continue....?

This happened to mine any many other peoples phones when we upgraded to 4.1, the way you describe your issue matches exactly.

The issue is the power control function on the battery is screwed. This is quite a common but not acknowledged fault with the XperiaT.

2 Optinons:

1. Send to Sony for them to either fix or as they did with me just send me a new one.

2. Buy a new battery and follow the guides on youtube and replace it yourself.

Hi W,

That's really helpful.. Sounds like I have to send the phone back after all.

Perhaps the extra loading of 4.3? ..brings out the battery fault..

Many thanks again will post when phone returns..

What you can try is:

- Remove the SIM

- Reinstall the update with SUS

- Start your phone

- After the phone is completely started and all updates done, shut down

- Reinsert the SIM

- Start the phone

My phone had the same problem and is now is working for 48 hr's without a problem. Not a strong efficdence, but it's worth trying!

Succes!
