Experia J ST26i Silent modes

When I select Silent mode, it also turns off the vibrate on ring function. I select silent mode by using the options prsented by pressing the on/off button, as if switching off.

According to the on-line manual, I should be able to control this in the Settings, Sound, menu, but I cannot find option in the menu list on my phone.

Can anyone tell me if I can turn off the ringtone, but still maintain the vibrate function, please?

Hi,

You have to set the phone to vibration mode if you still want the phone to vibrate when you receive a phone call and/or an alert (Settings > Sound > Silent mode > Vibrate) or if you hold the ON/OFF button, you need to choose the option with a tilting phone.

Hi, Sampus, thanks for the info, my phone can now vibrate without ringing, using the tilting phone icon, as you say.

On my phone, there is no Silent mode option in Settings>Sound options menu, other than Vibrate when ringing, which is selected. The only one is available from the options when pressing the On/Off button, with Silent/Vibrate (I only just realised what this pictogram represented)/Ring.

Still, now I can answer calls when in Silent mode.

Many thanks once again.:smileyhappy:
