can't view images on gallery. xperia neo

i tried updating the phone but still images on gallery doesnt show up, please help..

can you access music files?

use OI file manager and see if you can  open the pictures https://market.android.com/details?id=org.openintents.filemanager&hl=en

its the default gallery that has the problem.. i have astro image viewer installed..

settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> gallery -> clear everything

also go to settings -> about phone

which android version and build number do you have?

yup tried that already.. i followed your instructions from gany's thread.

android version: 2.3.4

build number: 4.0.2.A.0.62

I would backup everything and then repair the phone with Update Service

how do you repair via update service? is there a repair option on update service?
