Auto Brightness feature not working.

Hi Team,

i Have an XP SP with the latest official update of 4.1.2 and build number of 12.0.A.2.254 ,even though i select the option of auto brightness adjest ment in the display options of Settings the feature doesnt seem to work .I mean to say when i walk out to place with direct sunlight were the auto mode for brightness is to increase the brightness of the Display it Does'nt.

Is It a problem with just my phone or all the other phones of SP as well.

Kindly let me a solution .Does this issue be resolved in the awaited 4.3 update for SP?

The answers are;
1.This is known issue for Xperia SP's ambient light sensor not functioning and it may cause by the software itself and not the hardware.
2.You could give a shot,fix your phone use Sony Update Service(SUS) Here,download and fix your phone :
http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/
3.Maybe,it really is caused by .254 software.

I don't know,but of course Sony would take notice this issue.Everyone face this,even I do...

Facing this problem after. 254 update. Maybe 4.3 update will solve this.

SUS is never the option i had already done it as soon as i found i had this problem .

Kindly let us know if there is a real solution  for this problem kindly dont drag for this solution.

I have the same problem, seems like it is not solved in any software update.

The Sony brightness handler is borked imo. Didn't work for me on any version of firmware. Vellis Auto Brightness fixes it.
