Connect Xperia Arc S wireless to mac?

Like many others, my sony Xperia Arc s's micro usb connector broke recently. This means that there is no stable data connection possible via usb and charging is very difficult and ineffective. I therefore bought a new handset, an Xperia Z1 Compact.

My question is if there is any possibility to backup my Arc S or to connect it without an usb cable, so I can transfer my contacts and data onto my new phone?

Thank you in advance for any replies.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

As far as I know, you cannot connect the phone wireless to a Mac. I'm not aware of any programs that can make it possible either.

But you can save your contacts to the SD-card and move the SD-card to your Z3 Compact. To back up contacts: Go to Contacts > Menu button (bottom right button) > Back up contacts/Export contacts > SD card.

I'm not sure if it's possible to save more data to the SD-card with a third party application via Google Play. You can always check for a backup application via Google Play and try.
