2g works slower in jb much slower

Does anyone hve problem with 2g in jb update . It seems slower . Nd stops many times.its slower than ics much much slower. Are there anyone else have thia problem? Plz say. I m frm India

I am also having similar issue after updating my SL to 4.1.2. Although it is shown as connected in 2G mode, applications are showing as time out. But its working once it picks up the 3G signal. I tried different modes "GMS only", "WCDMA (preferred)/GSM" and different APN setting, no use and this was working till last friday just before the update. Also swapped sim cards and no use.

In Germany with T-Mobile 2G is unusable on Xperia S with the .200 Build. All apps run into a timeout.

Holding the Phone to an old, unshielded PC Speaker with EDGE and ICS resulted in a permanent Sound in the PC Speaker we all know from EDGE Connections.

With JB you only hear like one beep every 5-10 seconds, no permanent noise.

So the connection is really wonky.

OMG!!! seems like those guys are not using 2G network any more....

I have tried to connect via 2G after inserting different SIM card from different operator (Orange PL) and situation is the same - NO INTERNET CONNECTION!!!
