Delay on lockscreen clock on Xperia S

Here it is:
Let the screen turn-off, either by each-self or by pressing the power button. Let a few minutes pass (important). Press the power button, in order to unlock the screen. You'll see for about a second, a black lock-screen with a clock that shows the time when the screen turned off. After that, the lock-screen picture appears (either the theme's one or the user defined one), and the clock with the correct current time.
In simple words, it seems like there's a lag in loading the lockscreen and its clock.

I've posted this in a few well known forums (xda etc) and it was confirmed by many users. Will this be fixed?

I know it's not a bug of great importance for many, but it's annoying, and after all, it IS a bug.

It's not by accident. I found the reason for this documented in our systems and it has to do with the process being paused to save battery.

From what i can see, this is actually a power saving feature and not a bug. When you turn off the screen the phone goes to a power saving mode and some processes are paused. When you turn on the display processes are resumed and this gives a short delay.

So, this is on purpose? I quite understand your point, and as I said that doesn't bother me much. If it's for battery reasons then it's ok. I just want to know, is it on purpose or by accident. Is your answer a formal one?
