Hi.
I have a problem with my xperia L. Device memory gets full with normal usage after a couple of weeks. After it gets full, the phone is almost impossible to use; album doesn't work, new updates will not install, phone resets itself, cannot install new programs.. ETC. The only way out is, in my opinion, to make a "factory reset". But this is not how it should go with a mobile phone..
I am completely sure that this is somekind of a software bug, because my work mate is having exactly same symptoms with his phone and some other users have complained this in this forum with other words. For example:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/140571
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/144006
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/141173
Somebody explained that this is because the album app is somehow broken, other explanation would be that the phone doesn't know how to refresh the temp files...
Now I have some questions for Sony:
1. Do you recognize this problem?
2. How are you going to tackle it and what is the schedule?
3. Also, when tackling this problem, will you repair the camera software too?
Then, I would like to know if there are other users having the same problem.. By the way, the system version is 15.0.A.1.31
I have a Sony Xperia which keeps telling me that memory is full (I have 14 gB and use about 250 mB)
Can't download updates, insufficient memory.
Model C5303 Andriod version 4.3 Build No 12.1.A.1.205
I can't understand some of the other information requested in your list viz., what is a PM, and how does one "make a relevant topic".
Extremely frustrated by this brand.
I am having the same problem. I have deleted all my apps, just kept facebook and what's. I cannot even dowload msg app because I have no space. For me it look like that after 2 years they just want you to buy a new device.I am so mad about this.
Same problem here, got my phone 2 days ago, allready full... So i checked deeper, turns out it save every pics on the phone (from insta, fb, snap and every other apps you've got) i curently have moved "all" the pics to my sd card and have yet 6gb of pick i uploaded on insta, or from screenshots and downloads, i think these a actually copies... So i dont know if i should just delete them via my computer
....... 2 days
Hi,
I had the same problem with my XPERIA T2. I found out that with each photo you take, Sony accumulates a hidden file with huge size (mine was around 2.4GB!!). This is located at Internalmemory/DCIM/.thumbnails. You can see this folder only through a premium file explorer which can show hidden files. I used the paid version of File Commander. Locate those huge files, copy their names and create new folders in another location (SD Card) and rename them using those file names.
Now you can delete these huge files or transfer those files into a computer. Copy the empty folders you created bearing the file names of those huge files and paste them in the same location where those huge files were previously located. Voila!! Now the stupid system cannot populate your memory with such a huge file anymore. This solution was found online somewhere but sorry I forgot the source; but thanks to those guys, it works!! 🙂
DEAR SONY , ONCE UPON THE TIME I BOUGHT A SONY XPERIA L PHONE , TILL NOW YOU DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM WITH THE INTERNAL MEMORY , SO SINCE THEN I SWEAR NOT TO BUY ANYTHING SONY AGAIN.
