Hi.
I have a problem with my xperia L. Device memory gets full with normal usage after a couple of weeks. After it gets full, the phone is almost impossible to use; album doesn't work, new updates will not install, phone resets itself, cannot install new programs.. ETC. The only way out is, in my opinion, to make a "factory reset". But this is not how it should go with a mobile phone..
I am completely sure that this is somekind of a software bug, because my work mate is having exactly same symptoms with his phone and some other users have complained this in this forum with other words. For example:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/144006
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/141173
Somebody explained that this is because the album app is somehow broken, other explanation would be that the phone doesn't know how to refresh the temp files...
Now I have some questions for Sony:
1. Do you recognize this problem?
2. How are you going to tackle it and what is the schedule?
3. Also, when tackling this problem, will you repair the camera software too?
Then, I would like to know if there are other users having the same problem.. By the way, the system version is 15.0.A.1.31
I figured out part of the problem. When you use the clean master app, and click on apps, it shows a TON of apps that you've downloaded in the past and deleted! I cleared almost an entire gb just removing them from that app.I still haven't figused out why when I delete my photos it takes up my space 😕 hope this helps a bit.
I have the same problem too, the internal memory always 95% or 100% full
I even uninstalled all the apps in internal memory (facebook, Line, Instagram, and games)
but it didnt work
the problem is ....
the pictures & videos are the biggest memory spender
but I always kept my pic and vid in my SD card
any solution?
sorry for my bad english
There. Will. Never. Be. A. Solution.
Let us all just throw away our L, and never look back to a Sony gadget again.
thanks so much man!! this solved my problem!
Check the below link. Solution to this problem has been given. I also need to try as I am also having same issue.

It seems to have stopped the thumbnail folder from getting bigger and bigger, but this method hasn't freed any memory (out of the 1,57 Gb) at all!!
14 months now I deal with this problem. I think we all need a new (non-Sony) phone
Hi
Having problems transferring files from internal memory to SD card. It is only allowing me to transfer all video files to SD card. This is not possible as do not have enough capacity. When I tick individual files it does not give me the option of transferring. Sony suggested that I download AstroTurf manager - didn't allow me to transfer. Also File Commander will not allow me to transfer. Any ideas without deleting precious memories?
Thanks
Steve
Hi all, this problem is because all the pictures which have deleted will be there is .thumbals folder under DCIM in internal memory. If u clear that folder ur internal memory will be freed. but this is temporary solution, every time u have to delete that folder when ever memory is full.
Is it possible to resize the internal partition ? i.e.
from present 1.57 GB Device Memory + 4.01 GB Internal Memory partition
to 2.57 GB Device Memory + 3.01 GB Internal Memory partition
