Hi.
I have a problem with my xperia L. Device memory gets full with normal usage after a couple of weeks. After it gets full, the phone is almost impossible to use; album doesn't work, new updates will not install, phone resets itself, cannot install new programs.. ETC. The only way out is, in my opinion, to make a "factory reset". But this is not how it should go with a mobile phone..
I am completely sure that this is somekind of a software bug, because my work mate is having exactly same symptoms with his phone and some other users have complained this in this forum with other words. For example:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/140571
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/144006
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/141173
Somebody explained that this is because the album app is somehow broken, other explanation would be that the phone doesn't know how to refresh the temp files...
Now I have some questions for Sony:
1. Do you recognize this problem?
2. How are you going to tackle it and what is the schedule?
3. Also, when tackling this problem, will you repair the camera software too?
Then, I would like to know if there are other users having the same problem.. By the way, the system version is 15.0.A.1.31
1. you don't have to scream, all caps = Screaming
2. you have posted on an ongoing thread
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-L/Device-memory-full-in-xperia-L/m-p/433667#M3756
3. there are other threads that will give you an idea
4. its up to you to decide if the phone is right for you or not
StefanosK27, where can I find the option of deleting temporary files? Thx.
It's right at the "Storage place"menu or something (I have a greek menu). You can tap on the "Temporary Data"or something option and delete them all.
I finally got to change my phone to Samsung S3. I didn't ever get my phone back (sent for service 2 months ago), but it doesn't really matter anymore. Samsung feels great. Happy to get rid of Sony forever. Hopefully the update will fix things better for rest of the people.
Hey Sony,
It's really bad experience with you... don't creat only attaractive ads... create valuable products too.
I am android developer and it's really worst experience with Xperia L memory issue.
If you wanna see what this, just open whtsapp app and try to send image from gallary to anyone.
In next few secone it will start eating your device memory and will stop only when nothing is remaining to eat. The memory is taken by 'DCIM' folder or sometime taken by 'klog'. You can delete those folders but have to restart phone to reuse momory, otherwise your device will slow and not responding.
It's a second time I upgraded firmware but still there is no fix from your side.
I would like to say Micromax and Karbon is better than you guys.
Thanks,
VS

Which version of firmware are you currently using?
If it's the latest 15.3.A.0.26 then it's really bad news!
And I fully agree with you regarding ads.
I suggest in another thread that Sony should transfer a bunch of money from Marketing to Software Engineering in their next budget.
I find it also dissapointing and remarkable that no Sony representative are active in the forum threads regarding these serious problems that affects many, many frustrated users.
Device Memory decreases rapidally. I'm reset my phone 5 times in a week.
New Update have lots of bugs so i'm not updated to 15.3.A.0.26 & many peoples says after update problem not resolved.
Now i'm thinking to launch complaint to consumer court .
Sony says, it has 1080 hd recording & 16x digital zoom on website http://www.sony.co.in/product/xperia+l
That link doesn't show that
