Hi.
I have a problem with my xperia L. Device memory gets full with normal usage after a couple of weeks. After it gets full, the phone is almost impossible to use; album doesn't work, new updates will not install, phone resets itself, cannot install new programs.. ETC. The only way out is, in my opinion, to make a "factory reset". But this is not how it should go with a mobile phone..
I am completely sure that this is somekind of a software bug, because my work mate is having exactly same symptoms with his phone and some other users have complained this in this forum with other words. For example:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/140571
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/144006
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/141173
Somebody explained that this is because the album app is somehow broken, other explanation would be that the phone doesn't know how to refresh the temp files...
Now I have some questions for Sony:
1. Do you recognize this problem?
2. How are you going to tackle it and what is the schedule?
3. Also, when tackling this problem, will you repair the camera software too?
Then, I would like to know if there are other users having the same problem.. By the way, the system version is 15.0.A.1.31
those who have the same problem ,please click 'Me Too' icon in the first post..so that sony understands this as a big problem
Guys..there are 4000 views and 160 posts in this thread..But only 15 members has give 'Me Too'..make them identify this as a big issue..:smileysad:
did u connect your phone to computer after doing all this....coz memory leakage starts after connecting to pc
yes.. i have connected it to pc..But i am not sure the memory leak started after that..

Guys, I might have found solution for this issue... Simple
1. Ensure that your device said internal memory full but actually its not (in my case. Thumbnail data is around 1,5 gb and after I delete it my device still said its full 100%)
2. Go to setting - Apps - all and find app named MEDIA STORAGE
3. Clear cache - force stop and disable this app
4. Activate again this app after you disable it
5. Check that you unable to play music, see the album or change your ring tones using default app but you still can access it using file explorer
6. turn off and turn on your device, you'll see that your device will do pairing with Sd and Internal in notification bar.
7. Check your storage data info, it should be back to normal
In my case, aside the system show me correct information about the internal storage space, the thumbnail also generate small thumbnail around 99 mb in dcim internal folder not 1,5 gb
Already a week without issue now,
Perhaps my tips are worth trying, any question do let me know
@@Feri-Reza.. But in my phone, the Media storage app not showing Any cache..i ve done what u told but memory remains the same(free memory 440 mb.. apps memory only 290mb)..Or i ve to wait till the phone says memory full and Repeat the Procedure
just done factory reset..i will try the above method when it becomes full
hi ppl,
i have resolved my problem doing root and having access to data/core folder. inside there was a bunch of files, aprox. 65 mb each one. deleting these resolved the problem.
in my case, these files were generating when trying to play audio files with walkman app.
@RAQUEL ...so now if you play music do these files get generated again....
