Hi.
I have a problem with my xperia L. Device memory gets full with normal usage after a couple of weeks. After it gets full, the phone is almost impossible to use; album doesn't work, new updates will not install, phone resets itself, cannot install new programs.. ETC. The only way out is, in my opinion, to make a "factory reset". But this is not how it should go with a mobile phone..
I am completely sure that this is somekind of a software bug, because my work mate is having exactly same symptoms with his phone and some other users have complained this in this forum with other words. For example:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/144006
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/141173
Somebody explained that this is because the album app is somehow broken, other explanation would be that the phone doesn't know how to refresh the temp files...
Now I have some questions for Sony:
1. Do you recognize this problem?
2. How are you going to tackle it and what is the schedule?
3. Also, when tackling this problem, will you repair the camera software too?
Then, I would like to know if there are other users having the same problem.. By the way, the system version is 15.0.A.1.31
lot of time junk file will be appear like thumbnail in DCIM folder of internal memory and LOST.DIR...check these files that you will see in internal memory of the phone. Download file manager from market it's very handy app..you can delete these files if you wanted to
There is some kind of strange limitation in the phone memory. Even though (in my version) it has 4 Gb of memory, it seems to have two different partitions. One called phone and the other internal memory. I don't understand why but you have to move apps from one to another in order to clean up space. Crap system which I hope will be solved.
Fact of the matter is Sony acts like a large multi-national company, which is only concerned about market driven profits and their shareholders. Among other things, they are probably severely under-staffed and with the numerous bugs and faulty hardware they are producing, it's almost impossible for them to do timely fixes. They will keep treating their customers with disdain. It's up to the customers to realise that buying Sony products isn't worth it anymore. Xperia L is slowly turning into the worst "brick" they've ever produced. Never again sony (fony).
revenant69: We bought two xperia L devices in my office, both are wasting memory..
THIS IS A REAL LIE AND A SHAME. We don't know how to fight back, because SONY just makes factory resets, nothing more. And what is the worst fact, it will take 2-5 weeks to make a factory reset at SONY. I cant be without a phone for a month... Even if it was broken this way.
SONY tell me what I should do as a customer? Should I complain in some other forum, write article to some magazine, make fun of you in social media, what, should I tell everyone at the street that you should never buy anything from SONY???
SONY what do you want from me?
também estou com o mesmo problema! Parece ser um problema do album, pois quando vou verificar o que esta ocupando espaço ele informa imagens e videos!
Actually it's a good idea to spread the word in other forums and social media. If it won't make Sony to act, maybe it'll save the money of few thousands of people...
You're right IPE400. I've already told everyone i know to avoid xperia products. The more
they get exposed in various blogs, the worse their reputation will become.
I can just say that I also have the same issue. Phone from Sweden. At another thread, there was a solution presented. But it means rooting the phone, something I will not do. BUT - Sony tech should be able to create a fix from this solution, since it is pretty accurate. http://sonymobile.lithium.com/t5/Xperia-L/The-way-to-solve-memory-full/m-p/369655/highlight/true#M18...
