Device memory full in xperia L

Hi.

I have a problem with my xperia L. Device memory gets full with normal usage after a couple of weeks. After it gets full, the phone is almost impossible to use; album doesn't work, new updates will not install, phone resets itself, cannot install new programs.. ETC. The only way out is, in my opinion, to make a "factory reset". But this is not how it should go with a mobile phone..

I am completely sure that this is somekind of a software bug, because my work mate is having exactly same symptoms with his phone and some other users have complained this in this forum with other words. For example:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/140571

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/144006

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/141173

Somebody explained that this is because the album app is somehow broken, other explanation would be that the phone doesn't know how to refresh the temp files...

Now I have some questions for Sony:

1. Do you recognize this problem?

2. How are you going to tackle it and what is the schedule?

3. Also, when tackling this problem, will you repair the camera software too?

Then, I would like to know if there are other users having the same problem.. By the way, the system version is 15.0.A.1.31

I think I know how Newton felt when the apple fell on his head.

As you can see from the previous posts, I've been trying a bunch of things to get my internal memory to stop disappearing for no reason. I even tried downgrading the build. I was messing around with my phone and for the heck of i I deleted the Lost.dir file. And it worked like magic!!!! The file size was 0kb but I think there was some virtual unrecognize memory stored in that file. I tested it with that app that was giving me problems. The memory went down insignificantly and stopped at some point. Now, my internal memory says 1GB and has remained that way for quite some time now. Before, I would have had 0 memory at this point.

I went to settings ---> Storage ----> Misc----> Lost.dir

Give it a try and let me know if it works for you. I can't believe that's all it took to solve the problem. I'm going to head to bed and  I'll see how things are looking tomorrow.

I have the same problem and just tried a reset and then not installing any apps at all. Memory is still disappearing. Sony needs to adress this now as it within a week or two gets to the point where you can't recieve texts due to memoryshortage.

Get your act together SONY.

mochi, Lost.dir in Settings doesn't Appear.

Could you tell me how can I find the Lost.Dir file? Thanks.

It's not in the Misc folder?

Get a file explorer program and look for it.

No, I even tried with the ES FIle Explorer, and only appear the folder in this route:

Data - Misc , but in this folder doesn't appear Lost.Dir folder.

Maybe Lost.DIR could be in SD Card?

Did anybody else try deleting Lost.DIR file?

I can't believe Sony wasn't able to figure this out!!!!

Ramesona: In my opinion, only an idiot would buy Sony device at the moment. It seems obvious that this is a fatal software bug that sony has not solved.

I tried deleting the lost.dir file both in the phone memory and the sd-card but it did nothing to improve the situation...
