I have two devices in the same room. 1. TV / Home theater with amplifier (STR-DH520). 2. Sounbar (HT-XT2) connected to a computer with bluetooth. Both devices have their own remote control.
I would like to use both devices at the same time, but the problem is that both remote controls control both devices at the same time.
How do I make the remote control only work on one device at a time?
Hang a black cloth over the sensor on the device you don’t want to be affected.
Thanks for the suggestion, but this still doesn't solve my problem.
I would like to use both devices at the same time in the room. I usually watch TV and at the same time edit videos on the computer. Because of this, I should sometimes be able to reduce the volume of only the other device from the remote control.
Now this is not possible when the volume is adjusted from both devices with both remote controls.
Hi @Gousti I suspect the only solution is to buy a different make for one of your devices. You cannot change the IR codes so you are stuck. Have you asked Sony?
If I reduce the volume on my TV, it turns down the soundbar, without involving the remote for the soundbar.
Can you, with either or both of your devices, turn down the volume at the source device, not the sink device, thereby obviating the need to use either of the two remotes using the same IR codes?
