netflix and BDP-S1100

I have registerd my blueray player with the sony entertainment network, and have a netflix account. I can't link the two, netflix asks for an activation code, but it won't accept the same code I registered the device with and the netflix screen on the TV just asks for email and password which I could not possibly enter, argh.

Any help greatly appreciated thanks.
