Is there a way to get rid of all the lcd icons on my hdr-pj10e?

Hi all,

Is there a way during recording of getting rid of all the icons that appear on the lcd screen (like audio channels, the word recording etc) of the camcorder hdr-pj10e?

Any help would be much appreciated!

If you take a look at page 86 of the manual, you will see that in the settings menu there is an option called 'Display Setting' where this can be set to 'Auto'. Once this has been activated, you will find that the screen icons stay visible for about 3 seconds before disappearing. There are some situations where you will always see icons on screen and these are detailed in the same entry in the manual:

• When you turn on your camcorder.
• The LCD screen is touched (Except rec & zoom buttons on LCD screen).

• When you switch your camcorder to the movie recording, photo recording, or playback mode.

As already mentioned you can set the LCD to AUTO, which means most of the small icos will only be displayed for 3 seconds. However it is not possible to hide ALL icons from the LCD screen.

The zoom button, menu icon, battery level and sound setting will always be displayed.
