Netflix freezes HDR video

3 months this is phone f@k my brain
try restart ur phone everyday if you want watch hdr on netflix. It will solve this lagging problem for awhile. Dunno this is sony fault or netflix fault for the software tuning.

Try deleting the apps cache and data...or uninstalling the app and re-installing.
Chances are it'll be Netflix's issue, not Sony, as if the phone can play HD video, from other sources, like Youtube, or internally, there's no point in cursing out Sony.
EDIT: Just noticed, that Deadwind and Van Helsing played ok so no issues there.
It did seem your network speeds take a few seconds to buffer, mine are nearly instant...are you sure it's not just your network, or a glitch in that programme you were watching.
I would guess your network or Netflix haviing issues, with feeds or the app.
Also, I've had zero issues with Netflix, or playback since Android 10.

Issue I think is with Netflix.
Netflix doesnt even support the phone's 4k HDR and will only display 1080p hdr, despite Sony asking them to.
Please render your complaints to netflix as it is them personally refusing to add the xperia 1 to their official support (recognised devices) list.
I rolled back the phone to version 9 of the android, and the problem disappeared.

Present build of android ten is buggy as and the issue is with all phones
