Hi, after update to Android 10 all my music from sd card is not seen by Music app.
Any suggestions how to bring it back please?
Hey Azzido,
Try doing a cache clear by using the volume up + power until you feel 3 vibrations, then re boot it.
It may take a few minutes after that to repopulate the discovered music list.
Unfortunately it didn't help

That sucks, ok try this.
Settings, apps, find "media storage"
Clear data and cache from this.
Reboot device.
On reboot it "should" start repopulating the database of all media, however, if after 5 minutes or so it still hasn't, try installing this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.house.noranuko.mediarescanner
And let that run a full search.
Unable to find "media storage", maybe in Android 10 it is under different name?
Tryied to do what you mentioned with Music app (clear cache) but it didn't work
Surprisingly if I go to sd card via in builf "Files" app then I can play any of my .mp3 music. But it is like playing single song only without seeing ll of them in Muisc app so that many features like lists are missing.
Setting-Storage-SD Card(insert) then..
Music-Folders
3 dots at top, show system apps.
Then it shows.
Are they bringing back the music metadata search option again?
any idea??
I'd reckon not.
Sony is cutting costs.
I hope the new Mk II devices will bring new life and new spirit for Sony Xperia.
