Z5 Dual Fingerprint Scanner Problems

Hello,

Scanner is very finicky.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  Tried registering multiple ID's using the same finger.  Tried safe mode.  Diagnostic test fails (doesn't vibrate) during safe and normal mode.

I bought this phone because of the fingerprint sensor (lots of sensitive business info in the phone), so i'd love for it to work normally.

Any suggestions please?

Oh wow, mine has been a bit tempremental too and it's not passing the diagnostics test either. I guess I need to do a system repair too then...

solution of almost every problem is software repair... what kind software installation has been done on these phone and all of them are broken? I have both z5 and c5 ultra, no matter which issue of which phone I am looking, the solution is not changing, it is of course software repair... oh man you could release and distribute these phones with correctly installed softwares...

Software repair or phone reset doesn't help..
I've same problem on my Xperia z5 dual. Fingerprint scanner accuracy is very bad, 50%. And diagnostic test fails, as in nothing happens when you do fingerprint diagnostic test, most likely software problem with the diagnostic test.
I'm facing this problem from day one, and after a few days i restored phone software using pc companion and phone reset option for a issue caused by UStaminaM and this problem still persists.

I ve also noticed diagnostic of fingerprint does not react at all.. Oh man this kind of errors only might be at beginner level on s/w... How these producers do this job simce years, even very simple things do not work, who are beta testers of these sw, final users??? Oh nooo, there must be something wrong, final user must be the one who use with no problem!!
