Hey guys, I have performance problems with my z5c, can ony of you tell me any consistent laggs?
For example, when i clean recent apps, lock the phone, and then "quickly" go into setting and scroll, I have a freez of screen for a split second, somthing that shouldnt be there with that cpu. (This also happens when settings app has not been launched in a few minutes and then I enter it.)
Basic functions have problems as well, like phone etc.
Overheating is an issue as well, although the phone does not restart due to that.
Any idea about if the "Rev" of the phone has something to do with it? I had a Rev 2 for a while, but had to return it, now I have Rev 1 and it's laggy, somthing I haven't noticed on Rev 2. Also, the power button seems more wobbly on Rev 1.
Havent got 6.0 yet, I hope it helps.
Please Sony, be transparent
I still want to luv ya.

New to this forum but consistently having hassles with Z5 Compact performance. I didn't appreciate how bad it was until I loaded an Optus SIM into my old Z3 (updated, with same apps as Z5) and was just blown away by the difference.
I have tried running a greatly reduced subset of apps and factory resetting the Z5 several times and a full reload (not backup). When the Z5 Compact was first announced there was a lot of talk about overheading. I doubt Sony would ever admit it, but I suspect the phone has been greatly detuned or had its' performance to avoid the overheating. If this is true, then it would only be much later releases or maybe even a replacement model that would be without issue.
I also reboot my phone daily to try and help with limited success. I had several Z3 Compacts and never the same issue.
The Z5 does not appear to have the same issue, only the Compact. I will explore changing to the larger phone because this one is terrible. The worst part is the 10 seconds I have to wait after a call is finished before I can make another call.
The problem has been ongoing since new and I have performed several OS updates along with pretty much every app being updated 3-10 times over the same duration. I don't run Facebook on the phone or anything else that might be memory / cpu intensive.
The phone is a bit of a lemon really...
How can I understand if my phone is a revision 1 or 2 z5 compact?
Yes, I got updated to 6.0 and still legging - that is how I found this topic.
My wife has a Z3 Compact, and no issues there.
Really dissapointed in Z5.
However I have no issues with heating and battery. Only legging.
Also noticed that little larger webpages reload everytime between switch, seems like bad RAM handling also since the 6.0 update.
Things got slower after upgaded to 6.0. My build is 32.1.A.185 and everytime after restarting the phone, the time widget and calendar widget take long time to show, like 1 min or so. Hard to believe this is an 8-core phone.
Hello all, I have read lots of the posts on this forum. Reason? I also have a laggy Z5c. I came from a Z2 that I loved and recommend to a lot of friends, some of them actually bought it and loved it aswell. This is, maybe, the 3rd time I log into this forum to see if there is a cure for this phone... but not
Some history on this: right after I bought this Z5c (December 2015, less than 4 months of use) I noticed that the phone is slow and laggy, for example, opening up the camera or review images in the gallery takes lots of time (just as lots of users described). Since it's a contract phone it's hard to just go there and change it... I have gotten to the point that I'm looking into buying a different brand and pay for the full phone price. Honestly, I have tried it all and still the same bad product.
It just doesn't makes sense: How in the world Z2 is better and faster than Z5c? I know, after reading all this posts, that there is no fix for this phone... I just wanted to leave this somewhere hoping for Sony to, at least, read it and use it as a customer experience... which must be part of their key indicators.
Thanks all.
I have the same problems, lots of lacks. Specially when I try to use the camera amb the album.
I have reset it with the "Sony Companion" tool for a clean installation and problems are coming again.
My old Z3 compact run better... What's happen?
Simply put, Z3c is better than Z5c. I gave my Z3 compact to my wife because of that.
And now guess what, turning on the thethering gets an error message.

And this happens 50% of the time. Retry usually work fine though.
