Z3 malfunction

For the last two months (after the display was changed in a Sony Store for guarantee) my Z3 has been malfunctioning continuoulsy. The apps keep freezing (twice a day the least) and I have to restart it and even the restart does not work so I have to do it manually (pressing the on button and the up volume at the same time until it vibrates 3 times). I installed the Xperia Companion to get a backup and then reset it to factory settings but the backup blocks at 50% and does not work. The Diagnostics option shows 14 app incidents in the last 14 days and 401 (!!!!!) apps not responding and 21 system incidents in the last 10 days. Suggestions anyone ??  Sony guys ???

Hi Cameron T. (Sony Xperia Support) and everyone that read/replied the msg.

First of all, thanks everyone for your answers. My problem was diagnosed and the solution provided after a couple of visits to the local Sony Store. A tech guy let me know that since the Kingston Micro SD card I´d been using for the last two months could not record or reproduce content (?) at the 4K that the phone uses, then it originates conflicts in the phone's apps and SW. I followed his advice and retired the Micro SD and all the problems were solved since. My phone works perfectly again and no more SW problems whatsoever. The final suggestion was to use a Sony Micro SD which I haven't bought yet (way more expensive than the Kingston one) since it is specifically designed to fit the phone speed and resolution.

I hope the solution can help someone else.

You could test a new SIM card or contact your Local support

Welcome to the community.

When you say factory reset, are you performing the software repair function? Or are you trying to factory reset from within the phones menus?

Edit: Sorry I misread. If you are unable to complete the back up, the first thing you should try is a different USB cables and a different USB port in your computer.

ITS the marshmellows update that causes all errors. Overheating cpu, shutting down, bad batterylife etc. PLEASE give new update that will not destroy the Z3 more than you already have done

i have same allmost problem, my Z3C works fine but gets stuck at 50% every time i want to do a backup..
