Z3 C microphone problem

When I receive calls then microphone is not working for first 2 seconds and people can't hear me.

Is this some kind software problem or I should swap this phone for new one?

I mean it's sad but some times funny how my calls start like Skype calls where first thing you say is "Can You hear me?"

This problem have not occurred while calling out only while receiving calls.

The "noise suppression" issue has gone after upgrade to 5.0 but now it seems it doesn't affect anything

Still have this issue still after 5.0 update. I can receive a call and after a while they they almost can't hear me. Always happens. I have gotten the habit to just put the call on speaker and I have found out that when it happens I just turn on and of speaker and I am all good again.tried factory reset 2 times and it does not help

I have the same issue with my Z3 compact, plug in headphones with a mic, sound is perfect. Try the handset microphone and it does not work, just white noise.
A fantastic pocket computer at this time but useless as a phone! I have 4 handsets in my family, at next refresh for the family I need to get 4 mobile phones rather than a Z3 compact wiry a dead microphone

Hi, just wondering how you got on with your Sony Z3?

I am really getting fed up with microphone problem.

Sony store replaced 1st phone with this problem but then the second ph has been sent for repair twice and still has same prob.

No one can hear me. It's really frutsrating for both parties.

Call centres hang up on me as they say they cannot hear (which is even more frutstrating after being on hold...)

Guys I had the same problem, solved it today Slightly_smiling_Face

Mine was running latest android 5.0.2(23.1.A.1.28) Z3 compact.

In my Music application(Walkman app updated to Music)-settings-Audio Settings- Mic sensitivity set to High.

Other person can hear me crystal clear:smileyhappy:

I just fixed my issue by disabling the Google app where you can say ok Google. Looks like it was hogging the mic and not dropping off when a call was active.

Hi do you still have the same problem.

I am totally fed up.

I can make calls only with headphone or with loudspeaker on. I could not record any voice without my headphone.

Thanx AndySB, disabling ok Google also solved the mic problems for me!
