Hi.
My z1 was put in to repair. I did the backup (all files) to the SD card. I have got a loan phone (not sony) (but i have the SD card with the backup files) and wanted to know if i can access my contacts on the SD card without my phone?
When looking in the SD card i couldnt find a contact file (only in thumbnails, which i couldnt open the file).
I have never have backed up my contacts in gmail account.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Sorry then,if you did select contacts as well you need a sony device to restore it.
Normally, you cannot restore the backup file on another device. However,it seems you should be able to extract contacts:

Hi
Thanks for the reply
I dont have this file on the backup folder
Applicationscom.sonyericsson.android.contactsimport
You backed up using the inbuilt tool not PC companion. Do you have the .dbk file?
yes, backed up using the backup/restore function on phone
no there are no dbk files
