Xperia Z3+ Dual missing few features now

I have some list of issues with my Xperia Z3+ Dual.

1.Yesterday I cleared the camera cache as per the below thread.

/t5/Camera/timeshift-video-mode/td-p/1202225

(Jonas reply)

After that my video settings for camera got changed and I am not able to find options like full HD 30fps and full HD 60fps separately. Now only one option Full HD is there. Why is this missing after clearing the cache?

2. Timeshift video is missing as camera app now. But I still find that in Xperia Z3+ Dual product page. There is no option to record 120fps video now for slow-motion video. How can I get 120fps video?

3. 4k video app is not opening now. When ever I select only Black blank page appears and it never opens. How can I record 4k video now?

Can you help me resolve these issues.

Thanks,

Mowli Shanmugam

Hi @Mowli_S,

I'm sorry to hear this.

I recommend that you reset your camera app. To do so, go to: Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear data > Ok. Then restart your device. If you are still experiencing the same behavior I recommend that you restart your device to safe mode to see if this behavior is caused by one of your downloaded apps as these will be temporarily disabled in this mode.

Let me know how it goes.

I rebooted the device by pressing power button and volume up key. After that full HD 30fps and full HD 60fps options came back. Thanks.

But what about issue with 4k video app and missing timeshift video app as camera app?

Can you please assist on that?

Thanks,

I see, did you have a chance to try the troubleshooting I suggest in my previous post?

Hi Email,

Yes. I tried your suggestion, but still same problem. I am not able to find timeshift video app in camera apps. Also 4k video app is just opening black screen and never view finder comes up.

Provide some solution.

Thanks,

I recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion.

Keep me posted how it goes.
