Xperia Z3 Compact death after restart (Marshmellow update)

So after updating my Z3 Compact to android 6.0, I manually restarted my phone to try refresh my media data. However the phone just switched off and did not turn back on. Attempts to try to reboot the phone have been useless. Tried connecting to a PC but my PC would not recognised the device as it might have been corrupted. Anyone encountered this issue after updating to the new software? Thanks!

On my Xperia is a frozen display, the phone works but i can not use it. When i stroke over the display i have no reaction. What can i do?

Have tried to hold the Volume Low button while connecting the USB cable?

This should bring the phone in a state that the PC might recognize the phone.

Remove both SIM and SD cards > connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2-3 hours

I tried all that but didn't work. However surprisingly I fixed it by just letting the battery drain out by itself (might take a day or two), then charge it through a wall plug and everything was fine. No data lost. I tested this out twice and it works for my phone. But of course if I restart my phone now it will still go dead temporarily. Might be a software issue.

I'm having the same issue with mine, the screen stopped working after a few days of doing the update to marshmellows and the phone has 5 days untill the end of the warranty...:smileyrolleyes:
