Xperia Z turns wifi off after a while

This is starting to bug me.

Xperia Z will turn wifi off after a while when I turn off the screen.

This would be fine if the stamina settings were activated, but they are not. So wifi should stay on all the time.

I've also disabled location settings but this makes no difference.

Leave it a few minutes in standby and the wifi will turn off.

Take the phone out of standby and the wifi will turn back on and reconnect to the AP.

Any ideas?

Have you checked the Wi-Fi sleep policy?
Settings > Wi-Fi > Option dots > Advanced > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep.

Since the last update my wifi also switches off unexpectedly. This solution died not resolve this. Help!

Go to POWER MANAGEMENT in SETTINGS and check if the Location-based Wi-Fi is ON. Turn it OFF and it should resolve the problem.

this still doesnot works m being mad.. i even reset the smart connect setting. my location based wifi is off  and wifi is on while in sleep mode...but wifi still goes off after sometime

How good is your wifi signal ? How many bar do yo see normally  ?

I got the same problem with a Wi-Fi, after the screen is locked for some time, i dont get the notifications, wi-fi is off.
