After the latest update through Xperia Companion I hardly can use my phone, the battery dies in no time. When using mobile Internet and with plugged-in a charger it still discharges faster than charges. When not in use at all, with Stamina mode on, without running apps it loses about 40% battery charge overnight. This is really frustrating, as it makes impossible to use the phone at all, 20 mins on internet and it dies:( I have been using Sony phones for many years, the current model i have for 3 years, if not more, so its not that i do not know about battery saving modes, or how much time to expect for battery life. Thought of the hard reset, but not sure it can help, moreover do not want to lose all my applications, so thought of that only if there wont be any other way to solve this problem.
You need a new battery, it has been 3 years or more, the battery won't hold charge as it used to; contact your Local support to get it replaced or inspected.
But the issues started only after update, why 3 days ago the battery worked well but when performed the update it suddenly became super old? And in Xperia Z it is in-built...
You could repair it with XC or take screenshots but most likely it is the battery.
Repair with XC? What's it? Sorry, I am a blonde in tech matters:) Actually I always thought that problems with poor holding of the charge do not come up all of a sudden, not like yesterday it was all good and today it is a disaster. And how could a screenshot help here?
Btw is there any way to downgrade the Android version? Thought of that as a possible solution
