Uploading files to dropbox from sony Xperia

Hello,

I wasn't able to work out how to start a new topic on this extremely complex website, so I thought I'd leave the following new message (not sure to whom):

Recently all files (images, audio, etc.) that I try to upload from my Sony Xperia phone to Dropbox are somehow transferred into text files. Dropbox says it's due to Sony. I honestly have no idea. 

Please advise,

I already reinstalled Dropbox, to no avail. Sorry, but I'm giving gup for tonight (have to leave). Thank you for your help so far.
