Sony Xperia Z3 Compact bricked. How do I fix it?

I came home today and plugged the phone into the wall outlet to charge. An hour later after I came back from dinner and cleaning up, I found the phone repeatedly flashing on and off with the red LED. I managed to turn it off and then it stopped responding completely. I've tried the Power+volume buttons trick and it vibrated 3 times the first time I tried it. Now though, the phone responds to nothing. Sony PC companion can't detect it at all and Sony Update services crashes itself on checking for updates every time (even after 5 fresh installs).

I'm out of ideas and most internet guides seem to be too. Right now, the next thing I can think of is take it back for a refund. (this model has been in warranty repair twice already for unrelated matters). Can anyone offer me any other suggestions before I get an exchange/refund?

@SaltySpecula

Try to get your hands on a different PC/laptop and install PC Companion on it, charge your phone while off and make sure it stays turned off (Use the small yellow button under SIM flap if necessary), then proceed with software repair using PC Companion following the guide in the link strictly.

Hey there!

Thanks for your response. Tried it on two other seperate PCs (my other family member's ones) and same problem, it won't detect the phone. Any further suggestions?

@SaltySpecula

Can't detect it at which step? Did you try the repair phone option?

It gets stuck at the connect part. (Search->Connect->Detect->Finish)

As mentioned this phone is bricked as in it's DEAD. There's nothing there to detect.

Well, sadly it's self 'repair' moment has ended and it's back to being bricked. I suppose I need to ask if there are any further suggestions for how to fix it?
