Hello everyone,
It has been one week since I experienced the same problem as most of the people here. My screen rotation suddently stopped working.
But wierdly, I figured out two more problems that I hope are not linked with this issue:
-Proximity sensor stopped working (screen doesn't automaticly go black when I use phone application)
-When I press the "power button" it closes my application, flashes on the lock screen and then goes into "fake" screen saver.
When I am talking about "fake" screen saver, I mean that I my phone screen still produces light. It would not go all black like it used to.
I tried all the options below, none worked:
-Turn on/off screen rotation
-Cleared cache, turned on/off the phone
-Factory Reset
-Opened the phone and cleaned everything I could (sensor, plugged everything out and then back in) -I am used to it, I have my own cellphone repair business)
I own the Sony Xperia Z2 D6503 since one year now. Had high and down about it but I still appreciate how it works. I hope to find an answer to solve this issue and make the Sony community a better place!
