Okay, is there a logic behind this? Because most of the other android devices do support a 360 rotation. As there are no physical buttons on the device I can hardly understand a logic behind it.
Why would you want it to rotate upside down? There are some reasons why it does not. I.e - if your laying down on your right side and have the device in landscape with the top of the device on the right (If your on your left hand side then keep the top of the device on the left) it doesnt rotate and that gets rid of the need of a rotate lock button and stops it going into portrait mode when you dont want it to.
What happens if I turn to left? Doesn't the screen rotate? That I don't find as an acceptable reason. I can understand if there is a technical reason in implementing behind it. It is not a big deal and does not affect me, I just wanted to know if this was some hardware/software fault in my specific phone. As it is by design, I am not too bothered.
Try holding the phone in a landscape in dark, most likely you would have covered the Sony logo with your thumb, and try going back to potrait, it would have been so much simpler to not care to hold the phone in upright position ( given the relatively bigger frame of the phone).
I also really don't know why the reason for it. When connected to a magnetic cable it rotates 360.
Why this kind of restriction? Ether it should rotate 360 or not.
Hi,
you can use some external application from Google Play, for example Set Orientation.
