Reset factory default itself

My Xperia Z3 Compact reset itself to factory default in my pocket ...

The screen was locked and the option tape" twice on screen to wake-up" disactivate.

There is a combo of button to reset the phone ?

In our latest software update we have made a change to avoid the phone being reset by accident due to policies.

Depending on the policy set, if you enter wrong PIN you will need to type in "SONY" to continue which will reduce the risk of resetting the phone by accident by entering wrong PIN if display should turn when you have the phone in your pocket.

By a combination you cannot do it. Strange thing,do you have just swipe to unlock?

Does anyone else have access to your Gmail (password)? if someone does, they could use myxperia or android device manager to reset your phone

First time poster...

I have had the Z3 Compact form a couple of months now. In this time it has Master Reset itself three times while being carried in my pocket. On every occasion the SD Card is wiped and the Phone Memory is wiped.

On the most recent occasion, it rebooted, went through the set up pages and loaded me with the Turkish Language setting. All whilst being carried in my pocket.

The device is password protected (required by Exchange Server) and the Storage components are encrypted.

Is this due to the sensitivity of the screen, it can be activated by textiles, gloves etc?

Does anybody know if there is a way to dial the screen sensitivity down?

Cheers,

Gee

Hi, Seems you are using exchange service (EAS).  In EAS, it can set a total number of consecutive password mismatch to trigger a factory reset without user agreement. Is it possible that someone or any attempts to access your email accounts?

when setup the exchange email service, the device manager permission contains erase data remotely.

My partner bought a Z3 3 months  ago and it has factory reset itself 3times in his pocket in 3 months. Sony has a physical fault on their hands.

Please be aware you did not accidentally reset your phone, my partner and some others are experiencing this problem, his phone has factory reset 3times in 3months always in pocket. Always locked. Be aware as constant data loss is a punish.
