"Failed Download" notification - which app??

I keep getting this "failed Download" notification on my device: https://goo.gl/photos/agPn8nnyVLKNNFdn8

It appears randomly but frequently and is getting extremely annoying. I believe it's coming from an app and I've cleared data and cache on a few apps I believe was causing it, but it's persisting. I've restarted my phone in safe mode and then in normal, but it's still stuck somewhere and appearing.

Any idea how I can get rid of it or give it where is coming from??

Glad to advise that this issue hasn't reoccurred since the troubleshooting I did as advised in here.

Not sure which of the suggested or attempted solutions is the actual solution so hopefully it'll help someone else if they come across the same Slightly_smiling_Face

@daherlihy

Open the playstore > swipe left to right > settings > uncheck auto update apps > report back

Anything in particular I should be reporting back with?

Do not auto update apps > restart the phone > open play store > update all your apps > check which app has an error

Manually updated the apps but no error message received as per above advice

Note that since I disabled auto update yesterday as per your first response, I've yet to get the Failed Download error message. That's not to say it won't return though (??)

Still haven't received Failed Download error message. Note that I also removed and re-added my Google account my settings.

Presuming that is now resolved, the solution could be any of the 2 or 3 things attempted here??
