Problems with screen lighting

Hi,
few days ago starts folowing problems on my Sony Xperia Z1.
The screen lighting has bad response. Little bit slower than unlocking. But sometimes works sometimes not. What is worst that the lighting can not be completely shut down. It can be seen only in completely darkness.. If I shut down the screen then the light is still there.
I already used the Pc companion,Phone software update but it didn't help. Problem is still there.
Thanks for all your advice.

Hi @E_fox, welcome to our community!

I'm sorry to hear about your phone. Slightly_frowning_Face

If I understand you correctly, when you turn the screen off and you are in a very dark environment, you can still see some light coming from the screen?

I just tried this one a Xperia Z1 and I can't see any light coming from the screen at all when it's turned off.

As @nolramlb mentioned, this sounds like it's hardware related since you have already performed a software repair.

I would recommend that you get in contact with your Local support team and they will be able to assist you with getting your phone sent in to an authorized service centre.

Let me know how it went!

did you mean the screen timeout? you can adjust it to turn off after a few seconds at settings>display>sleep

otherwise this might mean a hardware problem , since you already performed a software repair using Xperia Companion, try to contact your local service center for check up. Local support
