Poor battery life and some feature suggestions

Hello guys!

So here i am with my beloved Xperia Z5 which still works absolutetly fine after a year of use. No slowdowns, no heating problems nothing, except the horrible battery life.

I wasn't entirely sure where to write, so i decided to do it here, if i'm at a wrong place, please help me out and i'll write somewhere else.

1, Problem:

-Ever since I'm on 6.0.1 my phone cannot withstand more than 2-2,5 hours of screen on time and the overall battery performance is horrible. When my phone was on 5.1 (with stamina on i could easily get 4,5-5,5 hours of screen on time) i could get 3,5-4 hours of screen on time with my daily use (with stamina off), i could easily survive a full day and start another one without worrying much about charging. (i usually start charging my phone at ~40%) I would like to know if other Z5 users are experiencing the same issue because i'm seriously thinking about giving up on my Z5.

2, Feature suggestions

a-I have seen that the manual options for the camera from the Nougat update is missing from the Z5, that was the main thing i was looking forward to see in the new update, yet you have not included it. I would love to see it as i feel like the Z5 is well behind of the competition in terms of a few features that are baked-in to Android.

b-Support RAW format! I can't believe that the default camera does not support RAW format, I'm dissapointed and would love to see Sony letting us decide in what format we wish to take pictures in.

c-An Android 5.1 like Stamina mode where the user can decide when should the cellular data, sync and other things should turn off. The Doze mode that's built-in to Android just does not get the work done, at least not on the Z5. (I've seen that something similar is incuded now in the beta, would like to see that coming to the last Z lineup)

d-Night mode. I've also seen that the beta included the Night shift mode where the screen turns a little bit dim, reddish/yellowish to decrease the blue light. I'd love to see this feature in the Z5. (I'm using the app called Twilight, but the screen overlay issue can be a pain sometimes)

e-Double tap to wake. Double tap to wake is an amazing feature however it works better in my pockets than when i actually want to use it. I've heard that Sony is testing it to work with the proximity sensor (i may be wrong about the sensor's name, pardon me if i'm wrong), so accidental touches in pocket would not wake the phone up as the sensor would be covered, and when uncovered, the phone would be able to wake up. Sounds simple, but yes, i've heard that the kernel/framework has to be optimised.

These are the main things i'd like to recommend for you to think about to include in the future updates. Back on my battery issue, i'd love to hear opinions if the battery gets better in Nougat or becomes worse? Because that's what i've heard so far, so i'm considering on ditching the whole nougat idea as i'm already having a lot of issues Marshmallow. (on paper, Nougat should improve it, but real life experiences are the ones that matter to me)

PS: Resetting the phone, repairing, fresh install did not imrpove anything unfortunately.

Thanks for your attention, hope you all have a nice day and will consider the above mentioned bullet points.

Roland U.
