Photos that are clearly visible on my phone are not transferring to my Macbook. When I connect and activate Transfer Photos, the photos in question do not appear on the photos to be transferred. I took some images the next day of the same subject, they appear and have transferred but others have not, any clues please? Peter

It seems it might be pictures that are stored on your SD card that's not being transferred in that case though you might need to check a few more to be sure of this. The first path is your SD card and the 2:nd is the internal storage of the phone.
If you browse the phone from Xperia Companion or Android File Transfer and select the SD card instead of the internal storage, can you see that picture under DCIM\100ANDRO?
are you certain that those photos are on your device and not just thumbnails on the album app?
Thanks for your reply. All I know is I took photos one day and they didn't transfer, took photos the next day and they transferred.
Simple, clear the thumbnails from the app
settings > apps > album > storage > clear data > it WON'T delete any pictures > open the album > see if the pictures are there
Well you learn something everyday. I've never seen my images displayed that clearly before. I followed your instructions thank you but I'm not sure what I did. Are you able to explain briefly? Peter
Well if you delete pictures from your phone it might take a while for them to disapear from the album app.
Thank you I'm not sure that I still understand. Moving from an iPhone to a Sony phone has been challenging in some departments. I'll try transferring again and get back to you with a result.
No change. The photos that appear in the Album are not transferring to my laptop. There must be something in my setup or phone that I'm not doing, any clues please?
I'm using a MacBook Pro. I'm using the Xperia Companion software.
