over heating and further questions

hi guys,  i bought xperia z5 dual. the phone looks great and features are awesome on paper. but i spend half a lakh only to buy a showpiece.

the phone heats up like crazy. z5 has 3gb ram which is usefull only for call recieving and sending some text msges. i cant even start a basic game, it heats up like crazy. it has amazing camera features, again can click 1 or 2 pics. the phone just heats up.

i mean its redicilous that a phone heats up so much tat u cant even touch it.

i have been using sony phones for past 10yrs... and its really disappointing to have heating machine for 50k.

i would request the concern authorities to look into it and find the solution if not i will escalate this issue to another level.

I'm sorry to hear that but I have a Z Z1 and now the Z5 and Z5P and I've been using a Z3 as well and they have not bent, a phone can't bent on its own.

True it wont bend on its own but when metals get very hot they lose their strength & only a small fraction of pressure is required to bend them. Especially a lightweight thin phone casing.

Z5, overheating, random restarts, phone is totally useless. Compared to my 3,5- years old iPhone Z5 is a joke.

I am Anil Chindani from India. I love Sony smart phones and after using Z2, I got the latest Z5 compact from Dubai. I enjoyed using Z2. However in the Zz5 compact, the phone heats a lot and the battery drains fast. I realised that being in India and having purchased the phone in Dubai, I cannot get the phone serviced here. Have others faced similar problems with the Sony Z5 compact? How did you manage to resolve?

Mine took a while to settle and start to behave. At the beginning it was very hot during charging.

Bought a Z5 compact a few weeks ago, it seems the phone gets hot when programs are running, even if they are only running in the background, once i press the lower right menu-button ("go back" "home" and "program list" buttons) and shut them all down the temperature goes down but if I don't it's veeeery hot..
