Dear Sony,
I bought a new Phone on 18th August 2017 (yesterday). The box it came in was sealed with sony stickers. It arrived today (19th August 2017).
The camera lens does not fit the window in the back cover.
The back cover itself doesn't look like it is the original i know from my old Xperia Z3 compact.
The screen protection does not fit the screen at all.
I checked the warranty status of the phone by entering the IMEI into Xperia Care and it tells me that there is no warranty.
What am I supposed to do now? The only thing I can think of is send it back and hope for another one that is manufactured better? Why is there no more warranty on a freshly bought phone?
Edit:
I just tried to put it into the original Sony Dock DK48 which I used to charge my first Xperia Z3 Compact and it didn't fit. I didn't use any case or whatever just the bare phone like i used to do with my old one.
Welcome to the community!
Sorry to hear about that, where did you purchase the handset from?
Let me know
By contacting the sony support via live chat, i found out that the phone i bought wasn't as new as the vendor claimed it to be.
This Xperia Z3 compact was refurbished and sold as a new product on amazon.
The vendor is P-Tech.
Sorry to hear about the experience you've had so far
I'm not sure if local support suggested this already, but in this case it is probably best to speak directly to the retailer. Hopefully they will be able to provide a resolution for you.
Good luck
