Hi, I have a sony Z5P in Apr. It pop up the error message sometimes when I turn the wifi AP sharing on. the message below "com.qualcomm.qti.tetherservice stopped" in chinese(tr). And I click OK, then turn on AP again, the msg not pop up again, AP workable.

Updated the FW ver.32.2.A.0.224 could solve issue. After updated, there's no "...service stop.." msg again. About one week test duration.

You could try clearing the data for this app directly.
Menu > Settings > Apps > Right hand menu button > Show System > Find com.qualcomm.qti.tetherservice > Press Storage > Press Clear Data.
Then test to see if the issue continues.
My Z5 Compact also having this same problem apart from battery charging/battery level inaccurate issue and other minor twitches. Currently running on the buggy 32.1.A.1.185 Marshmallow release. Sony, please fix this crappy version!!

I had clear data of "...qti.tetherservice", but it still show error msg sometimes. Are there others solution for this issue?
Same thing here. Help appreciated. Safe mode testing is hard to do because force stop happens once and it causes phone to restart after which it doesn't happen for some time.
