hi,
i have a 128 MB micro sdcard (lexar).
I store on it 80MB (13000 songs) of mp3 music files.
Once i run any application which check (or need) the sdcard (like music, media, file manager), the system seem frozen.
it is like there is a process which's trying to check/access all of them, but it is long, long, long and froze
what can i do ?
reformat the SD card and try again, also, you could test a different SD card.
i already did that before.
the filesystem (fat) is Ok, i format it on the tablet, and make the file copy from my PC to the sdcard via USB key adapter.
my sdcard is ok.
so, i delete a lot of the mp3 and keep only a part (2000 files now) and it works.
it seem the application of SONY have a limit in the quantity of songs...
i'm pretty sure the little developer of sony application forgot to extend the array data type (like forecast 4096,8000 boundaries..).
Tomorrow i will add 7000 files to find out the limit...

Just wondering the bit rate of the mp3 files
how old is the SD card
class?
yes there was a main folder then a massive list of subfolders, something like :
-root card
--| mikemusic
------|mood1
----------|folder1
----------|folder2
----------|folder3 .... to folder 256 and more
------|mood2
----------|folder1
----------|folder2
----------|folder3 .... to folder 256 and more
------|mood3 to mood10 folder type
more than 800 folders on 4 levels (root - mikemusic - mood folder - artist folder then the files in each one)
sure there can be a path string longer than 256 caractères because songs and artists name can have a very long name
